Our approach

At the Forge School, We build.

We build community. We build knowledge. We build self-esteem. We build skills.

We build the future of Nashville, together.

A tuition-free, grades 6-12, public charter school for all.

The Forge School will apply for approval from the MNPS Board in the spring of 2025, with a planned opening in the fall of 2026. Once approved, The Forge School will be a free public school, starting with 6th and 9th graders in Year 1 and expanding each year.

The Forge School is for all Nashville students, welcoming students from every community across our city.

A Project-Based Learning, Durable Skills School

Our Commitment: Shaping the Future of Nashville

We are dedicated to investing in students who aspire to shape the Nashville of tomorrow. Our career-connected school will address the needs of our growing city by creating strong partnerships between future leaders, current industry professionals, and personalized education opportunities. Through project-based learning, we will ensure that our curriculum aligns with the skills needed in architecture, construction, and engineering for the future.

Most importantly, we will embed essential durable skills—those that transcend industries and career paths—equipping our students for success in any workplace.
